Spring is upon us

And I have my camera back from Nikon, all nice and cleaned. The more discerning of y'all probably notices dirt on the previous pictures. You know who you are.

So, expect to see some new picture posts.

The magnolia at the front is in full pride. Looks wonderful for about two weeks, and it is a nice, small tree the rest of the time. I can't believe it is about 10 years old, maybe even more.

We bought 1 cubic yard of fine compost today, brought it home in the truck (only a slight over-load at 800 pounds), and carted it into the back with many wheelbarrow loads.

Mom has been working for hours taking roots from the maple tree out of the garden with the magnolia tree. She is now knackered with well earned, self-inflicted wounds.

Everything is up and reaching out. The wisteria on the back trellis looks like it will have dozens of blooms for the first time. I will get some pictures of that when it happens. So far, only flower buds.

Spring is, indeed, upon us.

Wow, nice. You guys are a little bit ahead of where we are, but not much! Our neighbour has a magnolia that's looking a lot like this one.
